"Never Let Me Go"; "Never Will I" - A Poem on Lost Love
"Never let me go" she begged
"Never will I" he promised, reassured
On souls that have departed
And that still existed
Patiently she waited
Heart filled with hopes and trust
Building dreams
For life together eternal
And happiness ever after
"Will be back in a fortnight" he assured
For I have a commitment to fulfill
"Come back soon my love" she whispered
For days will seem like years
Without you by my side
She hoped and prayed and waited
Patiently With hopes
Built on promises he made
A fortnight passed, a month passed
She waited and waited
Cried in pain but still in hope
Wrote to him but in vain
Days turned into weeks
And weeks into Months
But nothing heard
And he sends her a note
One fine day
“I have no choice, But to let you go" it read
She hears from friends of his
His lies, his games, his pre-planned tricks
She screamed in pain, in heart ache, in fear
Wetting her pillows day and night
Although the waiting was over
In a way least expected
Love turned into anger
And into hate it seemed
No it wasn't true
For she could not let go
That feeling she had for him
Deep inside her little heart
A beautiful feeling called "Love"
