New TV Indoor Life

Updated on July 7, 2014

Staying inside

Has become a way of life

"I never thought it was possible"

Deep down I don't believe in it

I think it's wrong

To not go out for walks

To let your body lose what used to be strong

But lately I've been enjoying television

The videos on youtube

It's a whole new world

And I enjoy my own company with my cat

What'cha think about that?!

But I still go out M-F

I just stay in a lot now

Well what else is there to do

While waiting for my job to come thru

But mostly it's because I miss you

Enjoyed. Sometimes we are our own best company and with your cat that makes things just perfect.

I have tv but not cable. My chromecast device enables me to watch youtube from my wireless laptop onto my tv screen as well as netflix videos too. It's a great and cheap substitute!

      Thanks for your input!

Love your poem - and its sentiments. Although grammar is one of the things I taught, that 'if.. was/were' thing can have me puzzling, too, sometimes. Hope you find that job soon.

I don't have TV but YouTube has brought some pleasure and other interesting things. However, it can be unhealthy if all we do is watch TV day after day, all day and night, week after week, years after years. I lived that way for years. I had children so I did get out a lot too but much of my world was devoted to television and it showed up in my world view, which was not a healthy one spiritually. As to the heat, yeah, it's a good way to stay out of it. We've had pretty moderate weather up here in the Pacific northwest. Two 90+ degree days and everything else very moderate. But summer isn't over. Blessings sister.

Hi brtbell, :) Thanks, nice to hear from you too!! You are so right about the heat. I did go for a dip in the pool though, that was nice.

Same here. It's about 110 degrees must days. It's self preservation to stay inside!

After working all week, I too enjoys staying home and watching a good movie. It's not just a winter thing.
