Worn out

Used up

Look who's new

Old and withered

Not you

Look in the mirror

All you want

It won't get rid off

The wrinkles

The marks

People saying

You are used up

Not shining bright

Not new anymore

They are looking for

The next big thing

To come through the door

Lying to your face

Saying

You are unique

Irreplaceable

What a joke

In their eyes

You are like everyone else

Not to last

It is very sad Valleypoet. I see it all in time in different industries. It can be a power struggle. It is extremely sad when it happens in relationships. Thank you very much for taking the time out to read and comment. :)

Isn't that the case with most things..almost everything has become replaceable. Being out of date doesn't take long these days. It is a necessary evil that sustains our way of life, but it is also an attitude that sometimes sadly crosses over into our relationships with others, and people also become a replaceable commodity. A very poignant piece, well written. Voted up and awesome:-))
