Love poem, night love, blissful love

Updated on September 9, 2012

Love Poem

Hear a whisper

See a light

Be still, be bright

All is quiet

All is blissful

All is right

Enjoy the soft whisper of the night

Glance at the stars tonight

See the blink of light

Whisper, kiss and wish with all your might

Live to the fullest

Cry and cry and sigh and sigh

See all that you can see

Live, laugh, love and lead

Breathe in deep

Clean your soul

Mindless wonder to lustful sight

Continue to ponder and seek

Love and lust, one to weep one to keep

Cleanse and stand

Look up to the light

Know that night is a whisper

Know that tonight all will be alright

"Know that the night is a Whisper." How beautiful. Whisper is such a beautiful word. Have always loved it. So much that I named my cat, Whisper.

      Nice poem,

      Sage

Ladybird, I'm having trouble finding the right words to Comment correctly on this one, because (to me, anyway) this poem is actually incredibly (and successfully) complex. It's like one of those songs you hear on the radio. You like it a lot, it sounds easy to sing--but it's not.

Their are layers of emotion in this piece, each separate yet all blended together like the ingredients of a well baked cake.

Please do keep on writing. My first "great" poem was written when I was thirteen, but the next in that category didn't pop out of my pen until I'd turned forty-four. You can beat that record without a doubt! :D

Wesleycox, thank you for reading and expressing what it meant, it means so much to me.

BC, I am humble and grateful for your comment, since it is my first poem ever in my life. I know it's basic poetry but it does encourage me to do better. Yep, I like to change my profile pics probably to much :)

Thank you all for the encouragement, very pleased.
