Night Song (a lyrical presentation)

Updated on August 29, 2016

Serenity of the night, enhanced by errant breezes, sings to me its song,

Music of the ages, not marked on any pages, plays its melodies, long.

Harmonic sounds for us to embrace, lights the darkness, with it's grace,

Grand birds calling with serenading winds, enthralling, each finds its place.

refrain:

As we listen to the sounds of the night, beautiful music, always feels so right,

Night birds call, are loved by all, wind's melodies, beneath the stars so bright.

When we listen to the rhythm in the night, fine refrains, all play out so bright,

The sun and moon and stars, can't compare, every nighttime hour, in its flight.

A symphony, followed by its serenade, a tonality of notes, power of such might,

The pitch and notes, all blend so well in the night, this orchestration of delight.

Refrain:

As we listen to the sounds of the night, beautiful music, always feels so right,

Night birds call, are loved by all, wind's melodies, beneath the stars so bright.

Sun and moon and stars so bright...
Sun and moon and stars so bright...

Each movement, its musicology, is so natural, floats in the night time air,

Romantic rhythms, played by creatures in the darkness, of songs so rare.

Modes in octaves, of its medleys, performed as singing crickets all join in,

Rain frogs and a lonesome loon, all vocalize to the moon, as fun begins.

Refrain:

As we listen to the sounds of the night, beautiful music, always feels so right,

Night birds call, are loved by all, winds melodies, beneath the stars so bright.

listen to the creatures of the night...
listen to the creatures of the night...

In a nocturne motif, no matter how brief, as a capella birds call, allegro, in its relief,

A Red tail hawk flies, its night cries, as if in grief, shril vocalizations, beyond belief.

An owl hoots in unison, its sounds persist, a form in forte, sublime, we can't resist.

No finer performers, by any chance, songs of the night, all to dance, it does insist.

Refrain:

As we listen to the sounds of the night, beautiful music, always feels so right,

Night birds call, are loved by all, wind's melodies, beneath the stars so bright.

Listen to the beauty of the night...the wonderful beauty, is heard in the night,,,
