For this set of Haiku I replaced the traditional "Season words" with those of the workplace. It started out as one representing each of the the weekdays, and evolved into this...

-

Nine to Five

Sandman came. Sweet dreams
of surf and sand. Fun in sun.
Blast of alarm clock!

Coffee brewing. Warm
bagel from toaster. Cream cheese.
Cluttered desk awaits.

Water cooler chats.
Meetings. Bosses. Work. More work.
Afternoon coffee.

Someone’s Birthday. Cake
in break room. Second
piece. Bad idea.

Tick tock. Tick tock. Watch
the clock hands barely moving.
Freedom at long last!

A must see movie for anyone that has ever worked in an office/cubicle
