No Angels Care

Updated on June 6, 2011

No Angels Care

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

No angels care to fault my word

no devil there to taunt me.

My arrow truth, my words my bow,

I care not for my trusting foe.

No God or benevolent hand on high

shall ever order me to silence,

while breath still inhibits this mortal shell,

I will not relent from expressing will.

No angel, demon or enemy thrive,

they shall never beside me ride,

for I am steady and resolute,

that misguidance shall never bury truth.

I am soul without redemption,

Not blind from sin or absolution.

I live within the dark and light,

Not driven to a fallen plight.

Human I yet place unmarked,

I choose to live between, and hark,

the voices of the spirits entice,

my soul to choose an afterlife.

But I shall forever speak my mind,

the truth of folly in way and kind,

that I shall never lose my mind,

and tell it how it is.

I am the spawn of human possibility,

not pawn to ideals or man’s servility.

I rest within my blissful state,

No regrets for all my dower mistakes.

Alone; my own life.
