Stress ? Strife ?... Not in My Life...

Oh thank heaven for 711...naught !

WHAT A COINCIDENCE..."711 " ? | Source

A Pinstriped suit can be costly...however... this one was "free "

I hear the economy is bad ,and getting worse each day...

Although , it hasn't affected me in any way..

I can even keep Kosher if I choose..

So who cares , what do I have to lose ?...

I get three meals a day ,and sometimes even a snack...

Clean clothes everyday , I put on my back..

I choose to exercise as a daily routine..

And believe you me, it keeps me lean..

My quarters are small..but after all..

There is a Community room with a 80 inch color TV...

With a place for family and friends who choose to visit me...

Healthcare ? not a problem , because you see..

I don't need insurance , like thee...

Problem with teeth...rectified

Education, Degree, I can even be certified..

because unlike you, who lives outside..

you need to work to survive...

Now I'm a part of the system you see..

I have it much easier than any of thee..

As I broke the law and now pay the price..

but I'm still better off than you and your lousy life....

** Believe it or not this poem was prompted by a newspaper article on the conditions of...

" todays prisons " ....

Prison life may have a lot of free things. It doesn't have good old fresh air. A cool breeze by the oceans edge. An afternoon of doing absolutely nothing. A walk down the street to the corner store. Give me freedom give me all the adversities of life. I loved your poem. Have a great day.

Jlbowden...I try to write as I perceive them.." no holds barred "..I got this thought from listening to a news article, where prisoners were complaining of not getting served " kosher ", the rest is history....

many of my poems are based on ludicrous latest just today is about the " Bunny Rabbit " vs society ( Easter ) OMG....

Thanks for visiting and voting this up.. enjoy your last of the snowfalls..

I thought you did an awesome job, of putting the words of what I originally thought to be a poem. Into a well thought out and simplified summary of those wearing the pinstripes! Doesn't the truth often hurt, especially when crooks like this end up beating the system.

While us onlookers on the outside, can only hope that life will treat them half as good. Couldn't help to vote this one up and thanks for making me chuckle a bit as well!

So true! These people behind bars are having a ball, unless they chose either one on weekends to play the game of the bar soap. No questioning, no complain; even though it might cause some pain. Great and fun poetry!

Good morning my friend from lake erie time 7:45am with first cup of coffee and a Mozart concerto playing and the heat blowing too with daybreak over the lake and both cats running outside.

You are a lady who has it all: wit, charm, class, beauty and a knowing wink - what a way for the Epi-man to start his day .....but between you and me it can only go downhill from here. lol

NY - I'm from Upstate NY. You should have told me earlier. You were already well aware of my lack of hiding spaces for the bodies. I could have sent one to you for prompt delivery to the swamp!!!

Enjoy your visit with your kin my dear friend! Raise some hell while you're at it!

KJ - Although there are sobering aspects to this poem, I found it extremely amusing and laugh inducing. You are a wonderful and humorous poet my friend!

      I am voting this up.

Boy is that the absolute truth, we send them to prison for punishment and they have it better than we do. Great Hub.

Wow! This is a great poem and sadly, true. I don't think it's been said better! Up, awesome and sharing! People need to be aware of where our tax dollars are going! Thank you!
