No lover like the sea ..... Poetry

Updated on April 4, 2014

She rolls in day after
day after day after day
one sound one sight and not
ever a word to say

Yet without a word she lets
me know that she is complete and mine
the glitter of the sun the roiling
foam to the edge of time

My lover my friend my confidant
never a hint of sorrow
and I love her just that much too
until forever and tomorrow

You own me my love take me now
let me drink in your eternal depth
And nary one salty tear will I cry
unless in love we've wept

Yes I belong there now as if she
were all that my life deserves
Her wetness surrounds me and what
little I have is hers

The rolling tides and I
the broiling storms are one
And never a moment of anger
but the surf the sea and the sun

Wow, I have missed your caressing expression, Ahorsback, the tactile merging of man, ocean, love, eternity - a soul merging, beyond compare into oneness. Thank you for this experience.

How lovely! We can learn so much from just sitting and watching the sea and listening to its whispers.
