Moving on

Updated on April 4, 2011

Pains are all part of growing up. No one, I mean NOT A SINGLE SOUL is spared from experiencing pain. Pain has its upside. You know how pain feels: its anguish and ugly, excruciating feeling sometimes -- and therefore, you don't want to cause pain to others.

Sometimes we try to avoid pain, as if it will last for a lifetime. What we have to understand, however, is that pain, like happiness is also fleeting. It is here today, but gone tomorrow. Life always moves on, no matter how deep the scar is. There is always something good that we can get out of pain. There would always be lessons learned, or convictions formed, relationships gone stronger or better yet, a renewing of the mind that leads to the renewing of the soul and spirit. Pain is a good teacher. It makes you a better, matured person the minute you hurdle it.

But better days are ahead of us. Experiencing pain is like tasting comfort next, because nobody stays in pain forever.

Life is a cycle, when you're down, there's no other way but up. When you're hurting and tears fall in the night, you know that joy comes in the morning.

Hi Celle - there's a saying of comfort in this part of the world - May this sadness be your last, which doesn't belittle the pain, but holds out hope for better times ahead. Thanks for writing :)
