Non-traditional Haiku: Dream's Reality (Poems)

Updated on February 17, 2013
Source

You and I makes two
Your hand, holding tight,
Walk me to the light.

Step by step, be slow...
Show me the beauty in you,
I see Love so true!

Take me to the land,
Where the souls share,
Beauty of the lair.

Source

You came here for me,
In the land far away,
I want you to stay!

You're by my side,
Seeing my soul's delight,
Hold me close to life.

Forever with me,
In our dreams we will be,
True reality!

Note:

A Non-Traditional Haiku as it doesn't have the proper counts in every line. Second attempt .....

You may have started a new genre here 'non-traditional Haiku'....I can see it now...' This is a form of poetry that was first introduced by LaThing in 2012..........' What do you think?..loved your poem :-))

"Show me the beauty in you..." Very nice La Thing

I love haiku poetry, and even though your lines weren't the "count",

They counted! cause they are beautiful!!

      Wow , I love it!

I echo rcrumple's statement . very visual and full of meaning. I like the way you personalize it with,

      "Take me to the land

      where the souls share

      beauty of the lair,

      you came here for me

      in the land far away

      i want you to stay"

      sweet words LaThing, love it.

Haiku...ahchoo, who cares? It's very visual and meaningful. Obviously, I'm not a purist, just a person that appreciates a good poem when I see it. Great Job!

Maybe, I shouldn't even call it a Haiku.... But don't you just love that word :) thanks for your lovely comment, and for stopping by, JDC....

      50 hubs?! I am slow...... I don't think I will ever reach 300+ like some people :))

      Have a great day....

Not that I want our LaThing smile, but my fingers were counting non traditional syllabes and I forgot to read the Haiku. Not too bad from a woman who is full of love. Please don't blush now! Aside from jokes I liked your inspiration. My dream's reality just woke me up.

P.S. Congrats on your 50th hub. Cheers! Going to the mall every other day is overrated..!
