Not Even Me

Updated on November 25, 2012

Sometimes I am a little sad

Because you don't take anything seriously

Not even me

And because I know that nobody

Has ever really meant that much to you

Not even me

And you can never understand

How much people love you

Not even me

And I don't think that anyone

Will ever be able to change you

Not even me

Yet it seems that no one

Can walk away from you

When they know they should

Or match your ability

To brush things aside

And remain detached and free

Not even me

Wonderful poem. If one doesn't want to change they never will.

Very insightful and moving poem. I can relate. I think we all know someone this describes.

Very profoundly painful, and yet so full of truth no doubt. You have described that type of a person to a tee. Amazing poetry. No, there's no changing someone of whom you have spoken here . . . and it is good to recognize such.

      Voted up, etc. and sharing

God bless. In His Love, Faith Reaper

Well done, congratulations. Breaking the form worked well in the ending. Thank you
