Nothing Inconceivable (a poem of reconciliation)

Updated on October 14, 2015
Conceivable is that which mankind dreams of...
Conceivable is that which mankind dreams of...
This goal attained when we may reach beyond the bounds of human greed and think in unison...
This goal attained when we may reach beyond the bounds of human greed and think in unison...
Made in the image of the creator...mankind's achievements are limitless...
Made in the image of the creator...mankind's achievements are limitless...
The mind is a powerful thing...just ask our God who made us all...and the universe...
The mind is a powerful thing...just ask our God who made us all...and the universe...
WE must escape the bonds and shackles that keep us from succeeding...
WE must escape the bonds and shackles that keep us from succeeding...
We must open our inner eyes as well as our minds to their greater capacity...
We must open our inner eyes as well as our minds to their greater capacity...
The heavens await us and beckons to us...each to find...
The heavens await us and beckons to us...each to find...
Flowering of this race, all of human kind...
Flowering of this race, all of human kind...

In this world of discovery, a qualified search for answers, unmet, as so implored,

Every new find, its grand recovery, an identity unassured, yet, then so stored.

The wide universe, in its exploration, each newest innovation, much unexplored,

All best regards to each, these strange requests, we all beseech, as ever encored.

Often offices, the regulatory, a new approach of an existing story, untoward,

An unnecessary postulation, defeats a new innovation...a big step backward.

As so seen in the public's defense, a reason formed, its pretense, is deplored,

While money siphoned from all common good, not spent as it should, is poured.

UFOs and Big Foot sought, great attention to be brought, as seen as not in accord,

New wars are to be fought, as all eyes are caught, seems to prevent moving forward.

Old planets, from distances afar, deemed more important as a new star, in discord,

A better tomorrow, with little money left to borrow, our unification, we must afford.

All that is conceivable, may well be achievable, goals that our hearts to lead us toward.

Abandoning the need for war, many goals to mean more, losing evil roles as warlord.

New cures for humanity, by ridding ourselves of all vanity, does please a benevolent lord,

One people, to admire, to respect, none, ever enemies to suspect, our history must record.

As Russians, Americans in space, share a common place, and a cohesion, as the reward,

Just as on the ball field, takes a team effort to win, each home goal to defend, by all is shored.

Takes a superior knowledge, this plan, people to understand, for each team to have scored,

The team's trophy, one of grace, involves the whole human race, its humanitarian award.

"So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth."

      - Baha'u'llah You have expressed this idea so deeply and with a wide range of questions and thoughts. This is an important issue. Your words are not just expressive and deep, but important. I am glad that your thoughts are at such an elevated level. (by the way, what does "encord" mean? I never saw it before and could not find it.) Loved your poem

Whonu, if only the world would follow the words of this poem, all would be right. One of my favorite songs is "Imagine", by John Lennon. I've been accused of being unrealistic and idealistic by believing in those words. But what is life without ideals? Why is it so far-fetched to believe ideals can become reality?

It is necessary that we all do our best, as well as help those that we can along the way...
