Now What Do You Need?

Updated on February 22, 2015
Source

In all fairness, tell me what you need,

It’s a valid question, in life agreed.

What are your goals and how will you thrive?

How can your passions flow in this life?

As a couple in our sphere

Together we must steer,

Help each other stay afloat

In togetherness, we’ll promote.

We must become one in common goals

For every victory, together we’ll extol.

Fly through turbulence and keep it straight

Keep those channels open to communicate.

Be one another’s sounding board

As an island will never be unexplored.

Give me advice and thoughts when I ask,

To help me tend to my current task.

Support me in my newest endeavors

The whys, the whethers, and sometimes whenevers.

Help me see light by the end of the day,

Keep me in line today, tomorrow, and always.

Be by my side in fair days and storms,

My port in the harbor that never conforms

And as I lie down on this unusual night

May the cusp of the moon hold us both tight.

For I want to be here one more night if I can

To propel us in fortitude in a worthy catamaran.

You know what I need and I must hear from you

Your own thoughts on the topic for me to conclude.

It is not meant to be mystery of thought it is true

It’s all back to basics in life to pursue.

Unless this is futile right from the start,

A lack of indemnity failed to impart.

Come to terms with your head, heart, and soul

Take it deep, let me know how you roll.

Such are what matters to keep us alive,

The mold is cast in order to survive.

Don’t fear me now, just be honest, please,

In the game of life there’s no guarantees.

Rely on your vitality, vigor, and sense

Every decision holds its own consequence.

Are you in this with me to pave a path where we stand?

Or will you keep on walking on another command?

These are the questions we must ask every day

To prepare us for life, to keep that task underway.

Keep those decisions steadfast and true

Make them all sound, with proper review.

Sometimes they’re wrong, and later we find

Our thoughts were elsewhere, not always aligned.

This is your life, child of mine, angel belle,

As I bid you a final long-winded farewell.

Today I go back to the dust from whence I came

May you be privy to the utmost in blessings and fame.

Hey, perps, so good to see you and get little tidbits from the Great North. Just got back from KS and NE on birding adventures. Trying to get caught up with the pics. You should friend me on Google+ for all that, plus you'll see my Stillwater News Press birding columns... Sounds like a great movie, since I am quite the cook myself.

Working at your craft I see. Now with the changing of the seasons I know you will be tramping the boonies with all your paraphernalia and sending photo discoveries to delight the eye. Me to the garden with the intent to brighten it up a little this year with more than just vegetable flowers and fruit blossoms. There are so many edible "weeds" that Manolie has labeled them as manna, saying that in times of shortage our cups will be running over! Have you seen the movie "Julie and Julia" or whatever the movie title was for that book about the gal who made all of Julia Childs' recipes in one year on a challenge from her husband? Cute movie. Guess who portrayed Julia Childs? If you guessed Meryl S. you were right. Have a great evening.

Working together with others will make this walk better for each of us. Hopefully many are hearing this message in their home and will share it with their children as they grow.

glad you liked it, tireless traveler. Robins have been known to flock before migrations, so they could be on their way somewhere. If you ofer food and water in your yard, they will come to visit you, too.

Delightful read. You asked me what I need. So here is a question I have been thinking I needed to ask you for about two weeks. Have you ever heard of Robins traveling in large flocks. There have been as many as 100 at one time on the field in the early morning. They have red breasts and are big.

You know what I think about our purpose in life, and how we can't survive if we all don't work together. This is a wonderful, universal message that hopefully is being passed down in every home.

Hello Deb, what a beautiful poem here !!!

Nicely done poem about relationship. You have considered almost every perspective about relationship and how it should be. The give and take is always in every relationship for a strong mutual growth for either side. The space and the clarity makes it grow stronger always . Thank you for this share. Shared and votes up beautiful.

Keep up the good work always.

Take care and God bless you
