Nowhere to Hide ( A Poem)

Updated on February 27, 2009

Nowhere to Hide

*******************************

I feel dead,

Deep inside.

Nowhere to run,

Nowhere to hide.

I wish I may,

I wish to night;

Stick a needle-

In my eye.

With all the pain,

Deep inside.

I'd fake a smile,

It does hide.

I'd fake a laugh,

But it hurts-

Deep inside.

I'd tell the truth,

You'll think I've lied.

Nowhere to run,

Nowhere to hide.

I still wish that you,

Were mine.

Deep inside,

My heart, has cried.

Nowhere to run,

The pain deep inside.

You say we're done,

No need for me to hide.

Deep inside,

more of me has died.

It cuts me,

Deep inside.

Icicle tears,

I've cried.

I wish you were here,

To take away the lonely, tonight.

But I'm out of sight,

Out of mind.

The pain in my heart,

Won't subside.

I have an Ocean of love,

Deep inside.

But a sea of tears,

That I've cried.

It's too much pain,

With nowhere to hide.

I must hide my hide,

Deep inside.

Sometimes things happen. It's all legal until you get arrested. Besides everyone has some color in their pasts....some are just more colorful than others.

Wow mighty mom, that makes all three of us, who were bad.I guess it just shows that none of us are perfect. We are human,we have our ups and downs. It's nice to be around people like yourselves too,who don't judge people who have ended up that pathway.

Thank you Mighty Mom... all I will say is I have less "lonely, tonight"... times. I'm grateful for where I am at today.

I was bad, too, but managed to escape incarceration. Lived in my own personal jail for a long time, tho!

St. James, this is a very heartfelt piece of writing. I hope you either got her back or found someone to take away the "lonely, tonight." (I loved that line!). MM

Be thankful you missed out on such an experience. I won't tell anyone.

Thank you BlondePoet... I try to capture that moment between emotion, and practicality. I was a guest of the local detention center herefor 3 months in 2007/2008. I was bad.
