O Love, I am Your Golden Rain. A Sonnet to Polly Ali

Love Is ...

You’re both compassionate and evasive,

Playing the game of Hide and Seek.

Never far away, nay, not even a hairs breath.

Sometimes I touch You; hold You;

Cry with You, as You’re scattered lovingly,

On the Wings of Light. The flower blossoms,

With an immaculate synthesis of rain and sun;

Even as the fawn reaches out for its mothers milk.

So too, this aspiring longing within the Heart,

Pushes me, to an unfathomable realm of Beauty and Delight.

O Love, I am Your golden rain,

In a river of ten thousand tears,

Feeling the rhapsody of Your sweet waters,

Flooding an ecstatic Delight, in the profundity of my Soul.

"Wipe Your tears...

Abandon all your thoughts of dying.

No crying ...

I will pull on the Heart-strings of Heaven,

So we'll be together again." -Manatita

      Excellent poem!

      I believe love has to be spiritual in order to be romantic. Lovely pictures and beautiful expressions!

      Thanks for sharing!

      Yes, yes, Chitrangada. Either Rumi or Bullah Shah has a poem which describes it beautifully. All we do, whether is alcohol, family, fast cars, power, greed ...all is a quest for this inner Beauty. Not not all know this consciously...some move in the dark ...the shadows ...

      Much Gratitude to you, dear. Have a great weekend.

      Ha ha. Chuckle, chuckle. Wrote this quite quickly, actually, for a girl at work. But yes, I am in the moment, so to speak, and it flowed naturally. It is addressed to the Highest in us all and very dear to me as is the girl. Infinite Gratitude for your very excellent comment!

      Me again, Frank. Were you teasing me? I said 'compassionate and evasive.' I was talking to God, after all. You're right, though. from a Higher standpoint, God is EVERYTHING! (passion included)There is nothing outside of the Divine.

      Hope you know that you're one of my favourite writers. God bless.
