Only One Shot

Updated on May 17, 2017

The words you want to say were at the tip of your tongue

And they just remained there; unspoken

Because you thought they won’t come out right.

The hands you long to touch was just an inch away

But you never tried to reach it,

Because you thought you might let it go.

The opportunity was already within your grasp

But you just let other people grab it,

Because you thought the risks will pull you down.

The chance to make a change is right in front of your face

But you never dared to take it

Because you thought failure is all you will have

The words you never said…

The hands you never reached…

The opportunities you did not grab…

The chances you did not take…

…a moment’s hesitation will be a lifetime regret.
