Ocean Mist poem

Updated on January 15, 2016
The ocean mist covered my feet,
As I prepared for the storm.
The clouds rolled closer to me,
But no movement could I preform.

My clothes were trenched in rain,
My hair heavy from the water.
But I felt something call my name,
And I couldn't pull away.

I felt like I was moving,
Into the ocean mist.
I closed my eyes and moved forward,
As if ready to be kissed.

Now truly I was fearful,
For I cannot swim.
But the water seemed playful,
As it lapped at my feet.

So I gave in and moved forward,
Consumed by the sound.
Atlass I was lost,
Never to be found.

Katarina, your poem was wonderful. The reader picks up on right where you are heading with this one. I felt the heavy hair. I felt how it would feel to close my eyes and move forward as if closing in on a kiss, but here you were in the allure of the ocean. Entranced by it calling your name. I really liked this poem. Thanks for sharing. Please share with us some more. :)

I do know where you got your name. If you hadn't explained that in your bio, I would have asked if you were named after the famous figure skater. She was beautiful and I was a fan of the sport around the time she was popular. :) Good Job!
