Oceanic Universe

Updated on June 25, 2017

As the rocket roars and picks up speed

into outer space it now is sent

The exploration of new worlds, its stars

this to be of its specific intent

Planets and their many moons all spin

their orbits are the same

Much like the earth in their structures

no new players in the game

Such power and force it does require

Each ship's own energy

As To be a waste of so much the costs

It's hard but it has to be

Our eyes to gaze and search the stars

looking for new worlds to find

Truth of the matter is not so hard to see

is just what we leave behind

Our oceans deep and still to be explored

Are to be universes all in one

So much to be gained in their searches

before new inquiries are begun

That to be gained beyond all's belief

a richness without compare

Our need to search this finest world

has such gifts all to share

Now's the time for us to explore our inner space

much more feasible and assured

The mysteries of the oceans deep, to embrace

Leave fantasy for those so lured

There is so much to explore still, here on Earth. We have an amazing new David Attenborough programme here on BBC, called Blue Planet II, which explores the oceans finding all sorts of never-before-seen creatures - it's superb and the photography breaks all the boundaries ever seen before.

What a great poem. Oh how I wish we had the technology to be able to explore deep space. Wish we could go worlds beyond what is familiar. Anyways, good job. I liked this poem.
