Ode From the Heart

Updated on August 7, 2012

I was trying to remember the good times we had together, hoping that it would inspire me to write you a love poem. I just could not find it in my heart.

I wanted to write you... a poem

that came straight... from my heart

i looked at the page

and didn't know how... to start

Would it be the same long

sad story....... about us

should I fill it with passion

should I.... make a big fuss

I could say we... have moved on

Gone.... our own separate ways

How long has it been...?

I lost track.... of the days

They say Love ...never dies

it just sleeps.... deep within

I know my soul.... always brightens

when i see you again

Well...I have forgotten

what I wanted to say

Just know... it came from my heart

It might be...... better that way.

Always will love you ....

You are so full of passion and love, Michael...and this poem expresses such love and honestly brings tears to the eye... I've always believed real love never dies...we hold it always...we may "move on" to other places, faces, 'things', but the love we share always finds a place in our hearts forever. Obviously this is beautifully written, and tugs the heartstrings... your special talent... love ya' dotti

Love and falling in love is freedome. Falling out of love is freedom too. Oh, how free are we to fall in and fall out of love.

I like this piece a great deal :-)

I don't sense sadness or a broken spirit. It feels more like accepted closure...

      Good job :-)

      Ciao...Princess Prisca
