An Inspiration. May be easier to reflect on the piece

"Behind all shadows of adversity
There is prosperity.
Wait and see!
Beauty's Infinity,
Infinity's Beauty
Will clasp you behind all shadows
Of adversity-night."- Sri Chinmoy

O Goddess of Blight, o Lover of the Light,

Out of the furnace of your clay-cavern,

I have emerged a crystal vase.

Immersed in a smouldering of infirmities,

It was You who caressed my longings,

Re-fashioned my focus, and transformed my ails,

Into a sweetened paradise.

Beloved, I know now,

That You approved of my condition,

And enfolded me in a chasm of darkness-night.

With the vigilance of Love,

You watched over me day and night.

As I lost the will to be resolute,

And my hope diminished,

I saw You enfolding and lifting me with pride.

Yon angels chanted, “Alleluia!”

And the celestial bugles resonated in my Spirit.

Who can equal Your supreme mercy?

You gave me limited freedom,

A most gracious boon which I abused, and yet,

This lily white; munificent heart of Ruth,

Pulled me by that unseen,

Yet blessed cord of deliverance.

Infusing me with Your copious Love,

You granted me sweet tranquillity and perfect joy.

Beloved, I see Your divine sport,

Dancing in the shadows as it does in Light.

Blowing away the cobwebs,

From an otherwise pristine Spirit.

I now cry through this struggle, with the fruits of Love supreme.

-Manatita. (Bard of Solace). Copyrighted. 21st July, 2014.

Very profound words ! Ode to Adversity is a wonderful creation. There is a purpose of everything and each adversity is a great teacher. Our setbacks lead us to victories and there is much grace in it. I love your beautiful words. Brother, keep sprinkling nectar. Voted up and shared.

Another winner by the Bard. If there was no adversity, we would succumb to boredom.

it is all true. Adversity brings out the best in us just like gold is purified by passing through fire

      Thank you so much, Ruby.

If I remember rightly, you've had your fair share. Know that my spirit is with you - God's you surely have - loving thoughts this Sunday.

      Ms Dora -Yes, My sweet.

There seem to be a unanimous decision here with this one. Crystal vase, indeed! Plus Job's indomitable will. A much valued contribution. I wish you God's continuous love this Sunday evening. Thoughts for your mom also.

      P.p.S. Please forgive me.

Yes, adversity shapes us; just ask the "crystal vase." It also empowers us to dance in both the shadows and the light. A magnificent job--this ode to adversity. Thanks for sharing such deep, inspirational, illuminating thoughts.

You speak with much clarity here, Faith.

As I say in the poem: Alleluia! Let us give Him the glory.

'Nough' respect for your noble contribution. Much peace to the family this beautiful morning and week-end.

Wonderful Ode here on adversity. Adversity builds character and does shape us into the person He sees in us we can be, without it ... most would never call upon Him, and we would miss out on that wonderful and intimate relationship with Him. We are being refined when the heat of trials of this life are upon us, those impurities that we want to hold onto are released each time. I am glad He is not through with me yet!

      Voted up ++++ and away

      Blessings always
