A Dedication to My Beloved Spiritual Teacher, Sri Chinmoy

My Beloved Gratitude, You came to me

As the Light faded, and the translucent stars,

Shone down on Mother Earth,

Heralding their supreme splendour.

It was then that You kissed me with Your majesty;

Hugged my Soul with the Breath of Love.

Like the rose, my Heart dazzled in its magnificence,

And I felt Your peerless moment,

In the grandeur of my Soul.

Sweet Lover of perennial Light,

I was so drunk that night!

33-years ago today, the sweet fire

Of Your celestial wine, saturated my Essence;

Bathed my Spirit with its Bliss-Delight.

Come! My Beloved, today my entire Being

Is flooded with Thy name,

A river of ecstatic Joy runs in and through me,

As I offer a trillion Salutations, at Thy sacred Feet.

On Love and Gratitude.

Gratitude is the Life-breath of the Supreme, and the precursor of all virtues. It is the fragrance and sacrifice of the One, and floods our Being with Delight. God is the only Gratitude.

"The most beautiful thing on Earth, is man's Gratitude to the Supreme, to the divinity in humanity, to God.This is the Beauty unparalleled, and it will remain so throughout Eternity." - Sri Chinmoy.

"My Love of God, has no need of Heaven's Bliss, for my Love of God itself, is the highest Bliss."

"Love conquers all that is unlike God. It is indeed supreme over all ... He who Loves never grows old. God is a shining example." All quotes by Sri Chinmoy. Copyrighted.

      I can give you the manuscript for my book, Shaloo. It is on Amazon but some places at ridiculous prices. It is roughly 13.00 u.s., obtainable from in Nepal. But yes, the entire manuscript is free from me. It explains my journey, and is called My Guru, Sri Chinmoy: Life And Teachings. It is a very sacred work.

      Put more simply, I read a book called The Path: Autobiography of A Western Yogi in 1982, and had a spiritual experience and transformation. (in my book) Two weeks later I bought Meditation, Paths to Tranquility in which there was a small paragraph on the Path of Love, Devotion and Surrender of Sri Chinmoy. The rest is history!

      My love to you as a loving devotee or Chela of the Lord. Hari Om!

      Beautiful post on Gratitude. Thanks for sharing it.

      I like the quote "Love of God itself is the highest Bliss". So, I do not aspire for heavenly bliss. God's love is everything for me.

      O heavens! You've surrendered yourself to the divine. Your poetry was felt and an authentic poetry is the one which is felt not understood. Hats off, Manatita. Jai Sri Chinmoy.

      Mary, you are so close to me New York; NJ, and in your loving Heart.

      Giving and Receiving this game of Life. The tree, when it is laden, bows down in humility and offer its fruits soulfully. yet the tree is wise enough to know that it relies on the farmer or gardener, to till the soil, plant the seeds, add the compost and watch or work with the sun and rain. Both are reliant on each other.

      So are we here, us brothers and sisters struggling joyfully on the Path. Much gratitude, Mary. Long may you live and be inwardly prosperous.

      Nadine, Happy you like them, thank you.

      Bill, Your comment is truly gracious, thanks.

      Appreciated. I was brought up an Anglican and excelled in biblical studies. I was extremely bright at school. My mother gave me much freedom, and so I followed the Evangelists a lot! So basically I was always spiritual and my mother had great values.

      I drifted after coming to London, UK, but read a book in September, 1982, which inspired my spiritual experiences and broader outlook on Life. It is all in my book, My Guru Sri Chinmoy: Life and Teachings. I can give you the manuscript, or you can order the book. Much Love.

      For me this is very beautiful thing to say. Our Lord taught that a tree is known by its branches. Sri Chinmoy taught this as well. Much Love, Ruby, Much ...
