Of Ice and Snow, Water and Air

Updated on May 1, 2015

Ice on the river floats up to the sheet of more ice that is well-built.

Warm air comes melting, then cold air comes freezing, and water and ice flow.

This I see knowing the cold that is here and more ice with those snow storms.

Snow and the ice cause the wells to come back from a drought--we don't see this.

Snow and the ice come at God's sure decree and accomplish their purpose (Psalm 147:15-18; Isaiah 55:10-11).

Ducks hold their own out there swimming along, but my skin would be freezing.

Ice and the snow beckon, Come and sleep under the bridge till police come.

Ice and the snow flow on; freezing wind slices my skin if I'm not gloved.

This goes, then Spring comes and all with a purpose to water our great land.

So here it comes--it is good for some birds.

So here it comes--it resembles the Word (Isaiah 55:11).

So there it goes. It has caused so much grief and there's more on the way here.

Weather each storm, for all things work together for good for those called.

Leave each ice patch; they will melt in the spring with its warmer griefs.
