Of the Same Divine Soul: a Poem
Unlike any human He doesn't need a glory,
doesn't need followers to make Him a leader,
not to be a hero of a divine story
to knock on their knees its every reader.
Our is the same soul, of same heaven we are,
just creators each at our own place
same spirit glittering from every single star,
and feeling the same as palms touch in grace.
I gave myself this body and will give it away
once that there is nothing to be made better,
when nothing is left to do and to say,
or even to think that would ultimately matter.
So, when it happens don't look for me up there,
take a look inside when your heart feels joy,
see my playful soul in a sunny glare
and hear that giggle of one happy boy.
Then if you look better you'll see Him as well
right in your heart while it's loving and tame,
with everything feeling like some magic spell
with the three of us playing our clownish game.
You may even win at that play of souls,
as He doesn't need a glory of superior ranks,
doesn't need any intimidating roles.
So, just say "you're welcome" when He says "Thanks".
