I Hate You Winter - Original Sad Poem
Winter! Oh I loved you
You have always been the best of all;
The seasons I encountered and witnessed
The driest of all, but I still loved you.
But look what you gave me
Of now which I complain
You left me to go nowhere
Nowhere – but to suffer pain.
When I was an infant, I shivered and cried
When I was a toddler, I made an igloo.
When I became a teen, I cherished you still
When I became a man, I accepted that I loved you
You have always been important to me
But one evening of yours made you special
It was a winter eve, when I first saw her
Wrapped into a shawl; a scarf around her.
With her glistening eyes, she looked up
Hugged in her arms, as she tried to fight you
When I saw you teasing her
That was the moment that I first started to hate you
But everything changed for a while
It was winter when we were together
When we hugged, kissed, looked at each other,
With love, care and affection;
A breezy morning of 7th December
Yes it was winter!
Though the change was temporary; as her love was.
The winter became terrible;
And chaotic and disrespectful and canny
As my worst nightmare was!
O! I remember; it was winter and utter cold
When that stillness came over me
And kept gaining on me; gaining on me
O! I remember; it was winter when she went away
When she lied, back-stabbed, and murdered me;
It was winter, when she walked away.
I remember as how she left me.
I can no more remember anything good
Everything died along with me
O Winter! Once I used to love you so much
Now I hate you for all that you gave me.
It is winter now; I can feel the shivers and cold
I can feel her glistening eyes looking on
Looking on to me with a touch of pain
I am pale, white and untouchable with no hint of tan
It has become a cliché, but I hate you winter!
For once you were so beautiful, though now I hate you winter!
Never come back to further sink me into the darkness
As I want to forget her; I want to forget you too.
But whatever I say, I will miss you winter, like I miss her too!
O my dear Winter! Once a lovely Winter!
