Oh Jasmine!: My Journal, My Story Part 1
Yes that is what I am going to start calling you from now on. It's my favorite name, it's the name from my two favorite characters in the world of Literature: the first is Anne Frank who kept a diary as well (like me!) She is the symbol of the Holocaust and of freedom. The second is Anne Shirley from my favorite book series "Anne of Green Gables," Even if she is not a real person I still wish she were real. She has all the qualities a true friend could ever wish to have, she is intelligent, loving, caring, imaginative, fun, and a smart and wise person on the inside, but as humans in the real world she also had her flaws and would make mistakes also which comforted me.
Just bought Justin Bieber's book, "My World" and to tell you the truth it's really inspirational. I believe everyone's life is interesting no matter how much we think it is not, but it truly is.
My Two Favorite Anne's
How have you been? Hope you have been great :) Me I have had so far a great day. Right now I am into The Anne of Green Gables books and now the movie sequel!:) Sorry if I am still talking about Anne Shirley but It is a subject I keep thinking about and therefore can't leave it alone. They're so full of happiness, sadness, and romance; all that life is. Gilbert Blythe and Anne Shirley make such great couple, I was so happy when I found out that they do marry! :), that is what makes the movie sequel even more romantic and beautiful. I seriously cannot stop crushing over handsome Gilbert Blythe! Well enough daydreaming.
Today in English 60 class, while I was peer editing my friend Maria's essay about Bias and Discrimination, I found found out upon reading her essay, that she was bullied verbally in elementary school because of her Mexican race and her physical appearance. I honestly cried while reading her paper, it was so motivational and sincere. I am glad she has found a way to have confidence in herself no matter what. I suggested she read this novel that I have been reading called: "Please Stop Laughing at Me" by Jodee Blanco. In her novel she tells her story and the horrific experiences she went through as a victim of school bullying from junior high to high school. Being bullied is really scary.
