Old Skin

Old Skin

revolving, evolving
changing within...
shedding the old
for a bright, brand new skin.

dancing, enhancing
delighting my soul...
learning to move
with new grace, fun and droll.

singing and springing
embracing the new
planting fresh seeds where
flat notes and weeds grew.

flying, replying
trying new wings...
soaring beyond where
the old skin now stings.

absolving, evolving
forgiving within...
shedding the old
for a bright, brand new skin.

opusmith, I so identify with "a blue world" and I am so gratified to know that this brought a amall lift and smile! Be well and take hope! It is darkest before the dawn!

No-Clue - I needed to be lifted today. My world is so blue right now, reading your words which skipped from my tongue as I read them was just the prescription I needed. You are indeed a prescriber of smiles :-)
