Old Town, Orlando.

Updated on March 20, 2010

Old town, Orlando

Take a

Friday night

Louie down

a shaded lane,
escaping from

the scald of

Route 192.
where unique shops

 line both

sides of this avenue,
and vintage cars cruise

by in time-warped speed,
their bright

glints of

reflecting from

the heavy chrome.

Everywhere loud

T-shirts boast

both the seen

and obscene one-liners

to passing

window gawkers,

and aging

The delectable

scents of roasted

cinnamon pecans

and tangy gyros
will drive your

taste buds nuts,
or you can bust

some nuts by

riding a bull here,
or shrivel them

by rocketing on a

giant rubber band,
hundreds of

feet skyward.

With carnival rides,

live bands,
karaoke and

ice cold beer,
you can share

some past times

and cold pops,
get tattooed,

ride go-karts

three stories high,
or just ogle

some sweethearts
passing by

in a parade

of tube tops.

Old Town

still holds

some fresh news

and views,
that are well

worth perusing

for everyone who
takes a step

back to a

souvenir haven.
