Olympians Represent the Best of the Human Spirit
Now spread you wings, oh Olympians,
for this is your time to fly,
You represent the best of us,
and in your fine spirit, no one can deny.
Reach for the glistening stars,
and past the distant galaxies, wide,
Shine as the sun and moon in the night,
for you have such beauty, held inside.
Breach the limits of all human restraints,
succeed and stand in your victory,
For In your reflection, we find our own hearts,
you take the lead, for us all to see.
Climb high towers, explore your depths,
to project the bright and grandest,
Within your breaths, an eternal strength,
showing you are the greatest.
Live your lives and express your joy,
then relish the goodness, to be offered by life,
You've worked so hard and given the best,
your just rewards, you've earned by strife.
Olympians, your reveille calls you forth,
to strike and to hold, the winning day,
Tomorrow will come in a new contest,
but as for now, your character, you do display.
The fleeting moments of each does fly,
escaping the realms of creation's light,
Now is your time to burn and to shine,
as the sun stored bursts of all that's bright.
Reach the summit and scale the heights,
extend your hands to the highest peak,
Grasp the best that life has for us all,
waste no time, in your goals .to complete.
You are the world and in all of its glory,
as the ancients have told, in an aged story,
Representing the grand and pure of our kind,
in your strong body, an honorable mind.
History will record your feats, all so bold,
to be told in the tales, and to never grow old.
You are us, and showing the love of our brother,
defining the best of the spirit, found in one another.
