On Hallowed Ground

Updated on August 12, 2013

Here I stand on Hallowed ground

Silence enfolds me

Peace abounds.

A southerly breeze

Strums my face

Angels sing

Beautifully clothed with

ornaments of grace.

A garment of praise

Envelopes my soul

And a blanket of truth

Slowly unfolds.

Righteousness dwells

In the well of salvation

And the mercy of God

Unto every generation.

His light upon me

Throughout the land

Peacefully I sleep

Fearing no man,

Precious and sweet

My Savior's Hand.

His merciful spirit

Keeps me safe and sound

As I stand here in love

On Hallowed Ground.
