On Sacrifice and Eloquence. A Loving Dedication to Mothers
Lipped Eloquence
The day I tasted the eloquence of words,
I was mesmerised by the ambience of their character.
Soaring, like an eagle on silvery wings,
I saw them dancing in the firmament, their smiles
And laughter, filling the air with sweetest joy.
At nights, I kiss the lapis lazuli, of an enchanting moonlight;
Spring heralds sunrise, caressing the beauty of my dreams.
Daybreak summons the sweet lamp of my Heart,
Scribbling verses to the sublimity of Love.
King David’s psalms whispers softly, the melody
Of the sparrow in my core; my Spirit melts,
Bathing in the beatitudes of the one called Christ.
My tongue becomes an artiste, painting love-songs to my lips,
Whose wine echoes, the drunken sweetness of the soul.

~ Awakening The Inner Light ~
Mother's Sacrifice
Naked and alone in this field of struggle,
They ascend on the wings of forbearance and grit.
Their sweet concern and empathy,
Flies on the septer’d wings of excellence.
Burning their souls on wounded knees,
They pay homage at the feet of sacrifice.
Love responds with Her benevolent mercy,
Removing the veil of loneliness from within.
Come! Sweet Deliverer, Come!
Take them to the crest of wondrous stars.
Their diligence is naught but dauntless courage –
A sweet selflessness for their beloved ones.
Fill them with the unfailing Peace of Heaven,
Cascade their souls, with the red carpet of everlasting Bliss.

This reminds me of how great mothers are. I love all the wonderful mothers out there.
Two beautiful tributes to words and to mothers, and you express much love to both in your work. Touching!
Came back. This concept means much to me.
Like mother, like son?
Yep. She'll be 81 next month. She's very active in her garden club and in her own garden. The woman doesn't stop! She's constantly on the move, which is what keeps her so young.
Manatita, this is a beautiful tribute to mothers and all they do for and share with us. I'm fortunate to still have my mom with me. I thank God for her every day.
"Mother" is one of the names of God! You said it all in harmony, the one a mother deserves! Thank you, my brother!
Gratitude for all mothers of all worlds!

Manatita I am clearing my head lest it may be puffed up. Eloquence is perfect of Moms description. So thanks for this in my meditations.
You have a wonderful ability to create vivid imagery in your poetry, Manatita. Thank you for this lovely tribute to mothers.
Mothers are I believe another one of the "1st responders." Like police, firefighters, paramedics, and the military they act on instinct with no regard for self. They are tireless but weary, act fearlessly although at times filled with dread, and give when their reservoir of strength is empty.
So apt a tribute for Mother's Day. Often, we don't appreciate enough when we have our mothers around. I just love these words, "the lapis lazuli, of an enchanting moonlight".
Count me in brother and give me a front row seat. Hallelujah and Amen. Even my young son's mother mother's me. Yahoo and praise to all of them. I feel like dancing.
Well by golly I just did. The O'le Square step ball room style with mom in my arms like she taught me. My love may have been given the seed by God but golly dickens mom planted it.
This is so beautiful, my eyes misty.
It is perfect and timely dedication to all the mothers this upcoming Mother's day. It reminds me of the selfless and immeasureable love of a mother. I suddenly miss my mother who is now in heaven.
A great poem as always brother!
I shudder to think how I would have turned out without the love of my adopted mother. She taught me about love.
As do you!
