Lipped Eloquence

The day I tasted the eloquence of words,

I was mesmerised by the ambience of their character.

Soaring, like an eagle on silvery wings,

I saw them dancing in the firmament, their smiles

And laughter, filling the air with sweetest joy.

At nights, I kiss the lapis lazuli, of an enchanting moonlight;

Spring heralds sunrise, caressing the beauty of my dreams.

Daybreak summons the sweet lamp of my Heart,

Scribbling verses to the sublimity of Love.

King David’s psalms whispers softly, the melody

Of the sparrow in my core; my Spirit melts,

Bathing in the beatitudes of the one called Christ.

My tongue becomes an artiste, painting love-songs to my lips,

Whose wine echoes, the drunken sweetness of the soul.

Mother's Sacrifice

Naked and alone in this field of struggle,

They ascend on the wings of forbearance and grit.

Their sweet concern and empathy,

Flies on the septer’d wings of excellence.

Burning their souls on wounded knees,

They pay homage at the feet of sacrifice.

Love responds with Her benevolent mercy,

Removing the veil of loneliness from within.

Come! Sweet Deliverer, Come!

Take them to the crest of wondrous stars.

Their diligence is naught but dauntless courage –

A sweet selflessness for their beloved ones.

Fill them with the unfailing Peace of Heaven,

Cascade their souls, with the red carpet of everlasting Bliss.

Yep. She'll be 81 next month. She's very active in her garden club and in her own garden. The woman doesn't stop! She's constantly on the move, which is what keeps her so young.

Manatita, this is a beautiful tribute to mothers and all they do for and share with us. I'm fortunate to still have my mom with me. I thank God for her every day.

"Mother" is one of the names of God! You said it all in harmony, the one a mother deserves! Thank you, my brother!

Gratitude for all mothers of all worlds!

      Yes, Perfect, Mrs LL.

I say all this in different ways here, a lot of the times. I have tremendous respect for mothers. They say that early spiritual teachers, did not accept women. I do not know if they found them too attached to earth, but Christ did and Buddha did also, beginning with his own wife, whom he abandoned in the Palace, when he became a monastic and went in search of God.

Roman Catholicism is similar, but after the Buddha became enlightened, his Consciousness was transformed and so he accepted women. You are God's salt of the earth. Ha ha. (Whatever that means)

Mothers are I believe another one of the "1st responders." Like police, firefighters, paramedics, and the military they act on instinct with no regard for self. They are tireless but weary, act fearlessly although at times filled with dread, and give when their reservoir of strength is empty.

      Hi Mary.

Yes. Woven with beauty since you say so. Ha ha. I will probably do one or rather another for Mother's Day on Sunday. Mothers are so special to me!

      Eric,

Yes, they are incredible and we the loved ones don't always tell them enough how much we love them. Keep dancing Bro. Peace.

Ruby, yes. A touching one. I love the woman singing Amazing Grace and the refugee mom carrying her baby on her head. What fortitude! What resilience and patience! She's up to her neck in water, yet she seems unfazed. Incredible!

Yes Bill, I did do a tribute on your story. Another incredible one. We have so much to be thankful for! What a true statement! Good to see you and gratitude to that woman/mother for adopting a 'blind' child.

      Yes Jason,

That means that she was extra special. Selfless, like my mom too. Peace and Gratitude.

So apt a tribute for Mother's Day. Often, we don't appreciate enough when we have our mothers around. I just love these words, "the lapis lazuli, of an enchanting moonlight".

Count me in brother and give me a front row seat. Hallelujah and Amen. Even my young son's mother mother's me. Yahoo and praise to all of them. I feel like dancing.

Well by golly I just did. The O'le Square step ball room style with mom in my arms like she taught me. My love may have been given the seed by God but golly dickens mom planted it.

It is perfect and timely dedication to all the mothers this upcoming Mother's day. It reminds me of the selfless and immeasureable love of a mother. I suddenly miss my mother who is now in heaven.

A great poem as always brother!

I shudder to think how I would have turned out without the love of my adopted mother. She taught me about love.

      As do you!
