On desertion!

Updated on September 4, 2014

My eyes barren are

with my heart denudated

for want of fertile love;

An askance hope of oasis

shall redeem water

to my spiny sockets;

Lay I

in a state of dormancy,

like a noctural animal

heating up

during the day;

May you be

hot, cold, semiarid or coastal

dusting storms

to sand dune

a star or a dome;

Oh!

non-sandy

you may afford to be

pebbling, cobbling or rocking;

to ward me off

from the vicinity

develop you spines and thorns

in your cactus eyes;

yet,

a little shower of love

sparks life into

a dormant seed with hope;

herbivorous

or

carnivorous

in the desert of our love

remain I shall

a love-hunter,

a romantic herder,

or a proposing trader,

defacing

my feeble identity

by merging

into the sands of love

like a courserflit

or a desert lark;

just a sandy word

with you,

my love,

Once and for all

let us end

the war between the hearts

for

Mars owns in its own nature!
