On the Shore

Memories

I lie alone on the shore tonight

In the light from a waxing moon

My thoughts along with tearful pride

Set sail along the darkened sky

Where the ocean meets the sunrise lull

The surf jogs slowly over my tender thoughts

Convoluted and left obscured from view

Only once again the sheltered words

Return in the confines of a beautiful shell

Reminding me of the love I once knew

From the fathoms of black and silt

I loved and lost and tears I weep

Like the salt from the retreating waves

To fall stinging in my devils eye

Contrite voice calling from the deep

The tide returns over the golden shore

Where seagulls celebrate their freedom

A scourge too many who hear their song

For others an orchestra of dulcet tones

which throw cautions to the storm

Just to languish in this wet desert land

where stories are whispered in the sea

and in this deep watery grave

the ebb and flow of the tide tomorrow

will wash my spirit and aura free

Maria hunnie, this will take some time to work out, but I am feeling a little stronger each day. Thank you for your love again. xx

Work it out, Sista... your words are pouring out like water from a faucet. This is supremely cathartic.

Thinking of you with all my love, Maria
