Once More (poem)

Updated on March 10, 2015

Once more the lover held her in his arms

Enjoying fragrance of the timeless past

And all the precious embers which were cast

Ignited by the beauty of her charms

His eyes revealed the volumes of his love

And from his heart came music of a truth

Beginnings ever changeless from their youth

With every hope and Joy worth dreaming of

Their life together was refreshing stream

He thanked her for the magic of their days

His years were graced by blessing of her ways

And kisses were a moment to redeem

Once more the lover memories did stir

He whispered tender thoughts into the night

For soon would come a realized delight

He closed his eyes at last and was with her

Without the actual experience, I can still enjoy love through your beautiful love stories.

Martin, I love the poetry that Joy inspires in you. I know she's there whenever I see the capital J. To have loved someone that much is precious and something I admire and long for.

Voted up and beautiful. I enjoy reading your gift of expressing love, longing, remembrance, and grief. Love is eternal.
