One Cool Thought

Updated on July 10, 2014

Looking At Energy In A Different Light

Wouldn't it be grand

If all we had to do is sit in front of a fan

Then within five minutes we would have all the energy needed

For any project or work about to be done

There would be all the inspiration and motivation to start

In the past you had to struggle

This time will be different I assure you

As you walk away

You can now feel your energy levels peek

This could make cleaning house a breeze

Lets see how long it takes

Washing the dishes, sweeping the floor, throwing the laundry in the wash

With those small chores out of the way

We are ready

To tackle those bigger things we have been putting off

Until now

Ready or not here I go

The yard has to be mowed

Wow no Red Bull needed

Looking good

Let me trim some of the bushes that look a little wild and do a little weeding

Another project done

Make a few phone calls and get lunch ready

Clean out my closet that looks a mess

With my clothes all fixed and taking a few old shirts for rags

There is no project I can't tackle

Combing my cat and feeding her too

Don't forget cleaning out that litter box

Off to clean out our car and here comes the soap

Good bye dirt and grime

Here comes the Windex for the windows inside and out

What a shine

I have a lot done

The wet clothes in the dryer

Throwing my work clothes in next

One job after another

I got the mail and paid a few bills

Filled up the car with gas

Took some steak tips out for supper

Fired up the grill

Now watering the tomato plants and the flowers

Soon I can sit back on my lawn chair and relax

With another days work out of the way

I feel the fan once again

The urge takes over my body

I will work all through the night

What can I say

Why wait till tomorrow

When I can do it all today

Hmm a fan sounds like a good energy booster, but it's too cold here right now. I think I'll go sit in the sun instead and soak up some solar power. An hour or so should give me enough energy to tackle the rest of the day. Good concept though Dream On.

Your titles cause me to smile after I read through the poem. Very creative wording and your subject matter is understandable.

Brie Hoffman My father use to say all we needed is a good kick in the pants. I rather use a fan. Once the ball is rolling it feels great to keep a clean house and get all the necessary chores out of the way.RachaelOhalloran I think I will order a half dozen and keep them in every room in the house. What can we think up next? It feels so good to get things done and sitting at a fan. I thought I would combine the two. Thank you both for reading and commenting. Have a great day.
