One Day

Updated on July 28, 2013

The letters have started arriving,

Soon the emails will come along too.

Decisions will have to be made soon.

A ‘decline’ to all four schools.

With my chin on my chest

My head hanging so low.

My brain is shrinking.

My abilities growing,

Growing further afar.

I shall seek out my friends;

Those who have stood by over the years,

Even though we’re thousands of miles apart.

One day I might get into one of the schools,

One day I might have a better brain.

But for now, I must not try to live in my fantasy world,

I have a future, it’s not what I had planned,

But it’s a future none-the-less.

So look out for me my friends,

I’m coming to say thank you.

To say thank you while I can.
