One Minute And Then It Is Time To Eat
It Is So Nice To Eat Again
The simple pleasures that others miss
We take for granted so much and appreciate so little
We are on with our day and push it to the last hour
Some how the day disappears and a new day rears its ugly head
People struggle through rough times and complain that these are the worst
They never stop to realize how far we have come
The food that makes us happy and fills the void in our belly
It is too often forgotten as soon as we are satisfied
Try going a few days without food and see how your priorities change
See what once was important doesn't even seem to matter
No one will listen to the man who has learned what it is like to be hungry
For they don't want to be reminded of the things they have control over
They don't want to change their negative thoughts and have time to sit and think
It might make them a little bit nicer and sweeter than they care to be
So they can no longer be a hard ass or was that a jack ass
One of the same to me
So as I give my blessings once again of the meal I am about to eat
Thanking God or any higher power that you believe
I am here and never have gone starving yet
I am tasting all the food that I love and welcome with open arms
As I fill the hole in my belly this time
I feel it still leaks since I will be back again later to fill it once more
Each day I do the same thing
Looking for a way to cap it once and for all
Now I can enjoy all the foods that fill me up
Until one day I can say I have had enough
I can't eat another bite
I am stuffed to the gills and I can go a whole year without eating
That will be the only time
I will not want for the most delicious mouth watering food
They makes me happy every day
