One Rainy Night Traded For Another

Updated on July 4, 2014

You Have To Be Kidding Me

I like the rain

But not for three days straight

Thunderstorms have hit the area

Trees are down

Power outages

We are the lucky ones

Rain is good

It makes the grass, plants and trees grow

I love the vibrating sounds of rain hitting the glass windows

Even when the rain hits hard against the roof

Followed by the loud whips of thunder

Then lightning sparks illuminate the sky

Works been extra busy since more people come in to get out of the rain

I have seen the lights flicker twice

Just a reminder we could lose power at anytime

Give me that old sunshine

That bright and lovely ball of fire

The heat that warms my back and at the same time the top of my head

It's time for bed

We shall see what tomorrow will bring

Another day of rain or that bright shining light way up in the sky

It's so nice to be in a dry warm house

With the weather comes the dark and dim light

I love to listen to the rain when I go to sleep at night

When driving it can become a challenge

You have to slow down and watch other cars as they go speeding past

Being careful because it doesn't take much

For a car to hydroplane and spin out of control

Causing one or more accidents can happen

I also love listening to the sound of rain at night time... the sounds of the world at night that keep me awake... to accompany my thoughts of far away and so close as well....

Wonderful writing, it took me away with these lovely words and images.

Hi. Fair and comfortable reminder what our choices are to do when we do not have control over nature's visitation whether good or less favorable. We still find pleasure to undisturbed happiness, raining only enhances.

      Nice work, Michael.

      Voted interesting.

shara63 My father use to tell me when I was young moderation is the key. Sure enough when I did too much of one thing or another things had a way of going wrong. It took me awhile to see he was right. Now the sun is back and are days are beautiful. It is so nice to see the changes in weather that bring everything together. Thank you for reading and sharing.,

Excess and extreem of everything is bad , middle path is the best.

Whether rain or sun rays, the balance between the two is a must.
