One Way To Remember (limerick)

Updated on May 29, 2012

A day that he never forgot

The date that two tied the knot

For by afternoon

The flowers then strewn

Would be near his funeral plot

"I do" is what she said

Though not long were they wed

      As she pulled the trigger

      For kissing her sister

The bride done shot him dead

      She put him down?

Turned his smile to a frown,

Then he could grin no more.
