Only When Rainbows Cry ....a poem about loss

Updated on March 17, 2014

when I think about the scene it can seem so very surreal
in melancholy way

the broken earth beneath me this horrid grave
on internment day

as I raise my eye's to the horizon seeking
faith so far away

and thereby find a message symbolic
he seems to finally say

yes I am watching over you too
seek the answers in what I show you now

And just then the grey skies might part
and there reveals the slightest rainbow

becoming stronger yet and then doubles
the sun conspires with mists

but just then the rainbow starts to cry
I've never before seen this

and god speaks in silent emotions he
reveals one of his secrets

I made this rainbow cry for your brother
and I have no regrets

Note -Two years later and I am finally starting to see through that day . I know now that God alone couldn't make the rainbow cry , he needed you there to do that my brother , I love you Jerry .......Ed

Voted up and beautiful. Your brother knows he's loved and swinging on the rainbow up above smiling down at you and saying well done brother. There will always be a bond between you and your brother will always be with you until you meet again. Hugs.

This is beautiful and sad. The grief comes through your words with a sense of comfort, too. Well done. So sorry for your loss, too.

Oh Ed how fitting this beautiful poem is.

      I felt your sadness

I felt your grief but I also felt your strength.

Your Jerry is looking down proudly at such a precious gem.

Take care and hugs from Wales my dear friend.

      Eddy.
