Our Father in Heaven We Honor

Updated on January 17, 2017

Our most merciful Father, thou are in the heavens to abide,

Thy name is hallowed, and revered, in you we may confide.

Your kingdom there and this humble one here on your earth,

It remains as a testament, that of your creation's true worth.

Thy will is to be done always, on your benevolent planet, as in heaven,

You give us each day our bread of life, to sustain us all and do thy will.

You forgive us of our indebtedness, our sins, as we forgive that of others,

We promise to follow your ways, caring of our own sisters and brothers.

Our heavenly Father, protector, we know you lead us away from sin,

Our earthly temptations are great, as you deliver us again and again.

Thine is our own kingdom as yours, power and glory is there forever,

We are your children, with you we shall dwell, always ours to endeavor.

Amen and amen.

Another Amen, Whonu. What a blessing to be able to call Him Father who has all these attributes in a measure that no one else has.

Thank you Eric my friend and please know that what I write is inspired by my faith in God and being raised through much of my childhood near a grandfather who was a minister of the Gospel for more than fifty years. Blessings. whonu

We are quite intense in our teaching of reading to my young one. Tonight this will be a reading to stretch his literary mind and his spiritual mind.

Please be softened of spirit and of mind if perchance a misguided Christian deplore you for "adding to or taking away" from our wonderful written guide for life. You enhance my connection and as you see that of my family and therefor generations.
