A strange absence enfolds me today.

And yet, in the awareness of this lies my longing.

I have abandoned You, o Lover,

For the transience of worldly pursuits;

This has been my nemesis of many struggles.

Come! My Beloved,

Transform my tears to beautiful flowers;

Let them be offered in adoration at Thy feet.

My wounds of love, like memories, linger on,

And I remain in pain, with a chasm within our Path.

Inner Longing

Sweet Lover, I long for release

From my endless inner war.

Here in this temporal universe,

I have only experienced fleeting peace.

As such, I await the endless passing of seasons,

In order to embrace a radiant spring.

This would be a welcome felicity!

Cute Lover, put anklets on my feet,

Make me as smitten as the Seer,

Intoxicated by a drunkeness of Love.

Let Your victory bells resonate, like the lute,

Echoing in my Soul.

Grant me the boon of another sunset, reminiscing …,

While You gather together a galaxy of golden rainbows.

Take me from the fire of opulence;

And kindle my Spirit to feel Your peace.

-Manatita 13th May, 2014.

      From "inner war" to peace; that brings a sigh of relief. I can identify with the strange absence and the longing. Your poem seems to speak for me. You're so good!
