Poetry:Over You

Updated on September 18, 2014

Over You

The realization that comes at the end...

I don't blame you

In actuality, I blame me

Letting it go this far

Ever letting this be

You was just to good

Too good to be true

Big surprise was

Your not even you

Who you are

Even I don't know

But from your lies

I was able to grow

Walls are back up

Alarm has been set

Not saying forever

I don't want to forget

I want to remember

Every act, every way

So I will know what to do

If I run in to another you one day

All the moments spent

Will not go to waste

I will learn from your stupidity

Learn not to hate

But to feel the pity

You truly need

Someone so lost

Someone who can not truly see

Sounds like you have learned from the ex boy-friend. Some of life's best teachers are the ex's that weren't good for us. We know who not to be with in the future. Beautiful job with the words:)

It sucks when you give yourself to someone who you think you know and they turn out to be a different person then they represented. Good write, all the best to you!
