Source

Hot ink burns through the filter

Blinking lights a million times quicker

Spinning around rolls

Baring my soul

Dark cries scream

Deep into the night

Innocence is lost

In a quick rapture

Making my heart

Beat three times faster

I'm overexposed

Losing control

Leaving tape decomposed

This poem is about vulnerability. Shedding everything that holds you back from your true nature and the fear behind showing that part of yourself.

Taking the chance and risking being burned - yes, I would say you describe vulnerability very well. Glad I stopped by.

      Morning Caroline.

      An Awesome hub.

I've read it four times and each time the hair stands up on my arms. I don't know if i'm reading it right but it comes over to me like a scene from an Alfred Hitchcock film. Hell, i think it's great. Screams in the night, heart racing fast, decomposing. Super.

      UP/A/B/I

      Take care Caroline.

      LOL Ghaelach

So beautiful Caroline!, it reminds of a card I bought for myself because I loved the quote then I received the same card from my Mother. The card had a hot pink back ground with white lettering and read "And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."

      Love the hub!
