POEM: FAIREST LADY

Updated on April 11, 2012

FAIREST LADY

The fiery firmament speaks of your heart
The mildest breeze tells your love
Pure as a dew, sweet as nectar
Fairest lady, divine as a dove

The coquettish turn of your head speaks volumes
To them that know thy every temper and mood
You flame like a furnace, yet weep like a child
When your heart is broken by some gleeful rood

Quick to sigh, quick to be slighted
When your sensitive soul bears callous treatment
For your mien is as scented tallow
Ever giving light but melting with resentment

Your passion is unending, your spirit, untameable
You possess the strength of Moses' staff
In the face deathly, hateful cruelty
But when moved, innocent is thy laugh

Your smiles lack not varieties
But are as sparky as the four seasons
A quick blush tells of secret desires
A gentle simper that its beyond thy ken

A hearty laughter shows your soul as a mirror
Deceit and treachery are unknown to thee
To joy and to spread joy is thy only wish
Blessed and fair as now, you shall ever be

That was beautiful, I wish I could write like that.
