Precious Treasures (Poem)

Updated on September 18, 2013

There are precious treasures

Which lie in the dark,

Only through great sorrows

Can we embark,

Precious treasures hidden

Only to be found,

Great truths so dear, and

So profound!

Nothing compares to the

Glory revealed,

Through those things

That are concealed,

Even through the darkest of night

The Son always rises to give us light,

Whatever you fail to understand

Merely place it in the Master's Hand,

Lean not to your own power of thought

Remember all the parables, that

Jesus taught.

There are, hidden treasures that reside in the dark. It's why those who take risk get rewards. do you recommend taking those risk, or should we always strive to stay in the light?

Good evening, "PHILLYDREAMER" I would always recommend staying and abiding, walking towards and aligning our lives with the light. Jesus is the light of the world. It is not an intentional goal to operate anywhere near the dark. Risks are inevitable in life, it is when some we take make us stumble, but learning from our mistakes denotes one of those hidden treasures which lie in the dark. Sorrow and pain have a path of darkness, joy and gladness have a path of light. How would we know the difference between sorrow and joy without a dress rehearsal. This poem was written at a time in life when sorrow appeared to be winning, but the lesson learned was greater than it. Strive to stay in the light!
