red-lined among silver shards
tearing the walls
of paper smiles
held in place
by expectations met and abandoned.
Do I smile so easily, so disingenuously then?
capture windowless lies
in the bowels of moments pressed like flowers
between pages of tears shed unheard
You smile so easily, so disingenuously --
imprint yourself elsewhere.
