Passing Me By: A Poem
Here's a random poem I decided to write. The speaker's boyfriend broke up with her, and now he's completely ignoring her as if she did something wrong to end the relationship.
This can't be happening, this can't be true,
You walk pass me frequently, without a care,
And I cannot speak, especially not to you
Your very presence I cannot bear!
As far as you're concerned, I'm invisible,
Like the wind blowing through a meadow,
We're both supposed to be adults, let's be reasonable,
When we see each other, the mature response is saying "Hello"
But now you act as if I don't exist,
That you never uttered, "I love you" to me,
And the feelings we had were a heavenly bliss,
You're a liar! You lied about your feelings, you see
But keep acting childish, it's okay,
Because I'll meet the right one someday.
