Passion Wish - A Poem

Updated on October 3, 2012

Nora Jones

You wished for me and so I appeared

Like a storm that touched down, I don’t know why I’m here

with no clear intention I am one to be feared

Lightning crashing, and we have been seared

Infected with passion that can bring us to tears

You would never miss what was never near

but you wished for me and so I appeared

My waters rain down upon your skin

soak into your spirit, grab you from within

You don’t seem to realize the mess that you’re in

I’ve become your vice and your addiction

You have found your peace in the warmth of my skin

and are consumed by this rare connection

slowly being revived, fed by passion

without realizing that we’re each other’s victims

We both enjoy just letting go

no thinking or planning just going with the flow

where will it lead? neither one wants to know

we just want to bask in this passion’s glow

as it permanently burns into the skin of us both

we take our risks to enjoy the show

we laugh, we melt, we sin, we grow

so much more than lust wrapped up in a bow

You wished for me and so I will stay

for as long as I can til storms carry me away

some passion is fleeting, there may come a day

when we lose it all and can’t find a new way

There is a chance that our feelings can lead us astray

or life’s calls of caution force us to obey

and put aside the passion in which we love to play

I do not let fear keep me from your embrace

for I know that this is not always the case

I live in the moment, I mean what I say

Those strong in their passion can keep it in place

So here I am, come what may

You wished for me and so I will stay

Second to the blending of words, pairing art to a work is a favorite of mine. I only wish it were easier to find who the true artists are. I would love to give the proper credits. I always smile gratefully when someone likes the pairing. Thanks for the smile LChristaine.

I do not want you to hold your questions. I find them intriguing. It is communication and it is interesting. I have always preferred them. Besides, with out your curiosity you faded (tho I realize that it could be a coincidence.)

I would never take credit for an accident, lol. Its humanities Achilles heel. :)

I am very familiar with this particular anarchist. Love his work. Grateful to have been once compared to him and Mother Teresa, tho the vision of the persons bearing such compliments were severely altered and biased by caring & love for me. I am much to balanced to compare with such good. I love and appreciate my bad and my good.

I accept you and your label of anarchist Daniel. Will you accept me in my resistance to adopt labels?

Sorry. Been a while. Here's another anarchist.

I am happy that you enjoyed it newenglandsun. I can't take credit for its neutrality. It was quite accidental. I am happy that you brought it to my attention. It is something I am now proud of. Had I been more of a planned person and not a creature of the moment or the flow, I would really want to include as many as possible since acceptance and universal love are in my nature.

I especially like creating images and evoking feelings in others so your last sentence is very flattering as well. I am filled with elated gratitude.

The gender neutrality in this poem was very considerate of you. Since there may be bisexual or homosexual lovers of people of the same gender. The picture helped to illustrate things for me. I also created a similar picture of two lovers running to each other on a shore in my own head as I read this.

It does seem to be a lot less intimidating on the page than in person Laurinzo. So many people want to hold me close and shy away in fear simply because I stir feelings and life.

You didn't miss it Frank. It was taken down because of the original photos I chose. It felt like it took forever to get republished. You want to become a Jehovah's Wit just to knock on my door Frank? Lol. That is funny, very cute. Is that all the poem inspired in you?
