Pat the Zombie, A Cruel (Adult) Spoof by Aaron Ximm

Don't share this Pat the Zombie book with Children!

If you're easily horrified, you will want to take a pass on Pat the Zombie, A Cruel (Adult) Spoof on the lovely little children's book, Pat the Bunny.

It's definitely macabre when you discover a toddler playing with a decaying zombie.

You'll likely be revolted with the touch-and-feel aspect that is true to the original book.

You might be disgusted with the smell on the scratch-and-sniff page.

You might or might not be surprised at the impressively positive Amazon customer reviews that this little book has received with comments like "Hilarious spoof for the un-faint of heart," "touchy, feely zombies" and "totally weird and wonderful."

Pat the Zombie would be a perfect gift for an adult zombie lover whether or not they are familiar with the original story, Pat the Bunny.

If you need to add this book to your Zombie collection rush over right now and buy it while you can...

Pat the Zombie Video Teaser

Yes, Pat the Zombie is on Youtube.

How surprised I was to discover a Pat the Zombie video on Youtube. It's a teaser, designed I suppose to peak your interest in the book and it is designed to be fun in an ah, zombie-ish way, though I doubt the book is as graphic as the video. However, it is, I suppose, perfect when you consider this book is about zombies! Watch the video here:

More Zombie Parodies & Picture Books for Adults

There's a whole new genre of zombie books out there. These books are zombie parodies of famous books of all kind including Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Zombies for Zombies: Advice and Etiquette for the Living Dead and more.

I was surprised to discover that there are even more zombie parodies based on children's books that, like Pat the Zombie, start from a well-known children's picture book and give it a zombie theme to entertain adult readers, particularly adult readers who loved the original version of those books.

The Very Hungry Zombie: A Parody

Very clearly based on Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Very Hungry Zombie: A Parody goes where no children's book should go. In this book, a very hungry zombie eats through what you'd expect a zombie to eat through...a buffet of clowns, astronauts, rock stars, fingers and yes, of course, brains.

That's Not Your Mommy Anymore: A Zombie Tale by Matt Mogk

That's Not Your Mommy Anymore: A Zombie Tale

That's Not Your Mommy Anymore: A Zombie Tale helps prepare us for the zombie apocalpyse. When that time comes, there will be millions of zombie moms and, if your mommy is thinking brain casserole, then you need to take this as a not-so-subtle hint that she is not really your mommy anmore. Another picture book that is okay for older children but really meant for zombie loving adults.

Are there any zombie books in your future?

I'm not into zombies, but I love a great book review and this one qualifies! What a super choice for those who ARE into zombies!
