How surprised I was to discover a Pat the Zombie video on Youtube. It's a teaser, designed I suppose to peak your interest in the book and it is designed to be fun in an ah, zombie-ish way, though I doubt the book is as graphic as the video. However, it is, I suppose, perfect when you consider this book is about zombies! Watch the video here:

There's a whole new genre of zombie books out there. These books are zombie parodies of famous books of all kind including Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Zombies for Zombies: Advice and Etiquette for the Living Dead and more.

I was surprised to discover that there are even more zombie parodies based on children's books that, like Pat the Zombie, start from a well-known children's picture book and give it a zombie theme to entertain adult readers, particularly adult readers who loved the original version of those books.

When that time comes, there will be millions of zombie moms and, if your mommy is thinking brain casserole, then you need to take this as a not-so-subtle hint that she is not really your mommy anmore. Another picture book that is okay for older children but really meant for zombie loving adults.
